Boscos is looking to hire a Head Brewer with fresh ideas, experience, and a love for beer.
Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
Maintain brewery, state and federal compliance, inventory and paperwork.
Attend meetings with restaurant managers on brewery schedules and updates.
Responsible for all purchasing & accounting for brewery.
Provide weekly product forecasts.
Purchase, budget, evaluate, and monitor raw materials.
Brew Boscos On Tap and Seasonal beers according to recipes and quality standards.
Brew new beers and document recipes.
Operate brew equipment to maintain acceptable inventory of raw materials and beer.
Supervise maintenance, cleanliness & sanitation of all equipment, tanks, and brewery.
Maintain fundamental knowledge of plumbing and machinery mechanics/maintenance.
Train assistant brewers.
Conduct on-going research into industry trends.
Participate in Boscos beer dinners, events, festivals, customer relations, marketing, and promotions.
Be organized, detail oriented, and problem-solving.
Capable of speaking in front of small groups.
Education, Experience, Abilities
3+ years of brewing experience in a brewery.
Education at an accredited brewing school (preferred but not required)
Experience in Cask-conditioning of ales.
Lift and/or Move 55 -170 lbs.
Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders up.
Work in a confined space.
Read, write, and calculate basic algebra.
